Father Who snares you
with the rage for love
He creates in you
by discarding you
in the Garden where
He has laid a loop
on the ground in front
of the apple tree
where you take, bite, and
fall in ecstasy;
the circle tightens,
agony tosses
you, broken and loose,
into the wild waste,
where, lost, you mistake
His wail for the wind.
