COVID-19 Diary: 4/14/20

The red sign shouts, “Stop!”
The robin red breast tweets, “Look!”
The red siren wails.

The shock of the red
curtain in the far window,
someone calling out.

Say the word, and I’ll
be there, red lights flashing, to
love and comfort you.

EMT covered
in red, later drowning in
blood from the inside.

This is my body
broken, my blood poured out, for
you. Remember me.
