An occasional
car drives by the parked ones left
undriven for days,
by a garbage can
left empty on its side. Trees
are starting to leaf,
while in hospitals,
in forests of equipment,
doctors and nurses
flurry from patient
to patient, all lying in
white, struggling for spring.
