Greenport 2020 2: in the morning

dust October 8, 2020 0 Comments
          roy herndon smith

the sharp round too-wheet
the prick of the chirp
the heavy cut of the bark

the clarity of water
splashing into the glass
and mouth and throat

pass, leaving
the encompassing light and air
the silence of the walls
