masses: memorial

dust October 20, 2020 0 Comments
painting by marlene vine, poem by roy herndon smith

the evenly spaced
black and white pillars
still stand over against

the wind and the sun
casting streams and shadows
of blues blurring into greens

that cover the sands
that cover the grave
of a civilization
