masses: after armageddon

dust December 7, 2020 0 Comments
painting by marlene vine, poem by roy herndon smith

gravestones of nightmares
disintegrate into dust
in dawn's gentle light

bits of lost dreams of heaven
fall back to and comfort
the anguished earth

the granularity
of mundane life scratches
the waking senses
